Co-president, Ada yu

Ada is a 2nd year student at Tufts University studying Behavioral Neuroscience on the pre-medical track. She is the Co-President of The Legacy Project Inc., an organization dedicated to connecting college students with local elders in their community to build strong intergenerational relationships and document the life histories of seniors. She currently works as an EMT-B and is also actively involved in biomedical research focusing on the intersection of immunology and autophagy in the context of chemotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity. Ada has been with GenDream since 2020.

 

VP internal, Maddie Tsang

Maddie is a senior attending Castilleja High School in the Bay Area, California. This past summer, she interned for Artifact Labs, a Hong Kong-based start-up collaborating with museums to preserve historical collections on the blockchain. She currently serves as a digital ambassador for Immortal Studios, an entertainment company empowering AAPI voices through superhero stories. In the future, she aspires to use art, technology, and history to promote AAPI activism. Maddie has been with GenDream since 2020.

CO-President, Jacob yang

Jacob is a 3rd year student at UC San Diego studying Business Economics with minors in Supply Chain and Computational Science. Currently, he does business analysis at Northrop Grumman and will be a Summer 2024 Business Analyst Intern at Capital One. Jacob is also a strategy consultant at his university consulting club and runs the data analysis team at his university undergraduate economics society. Jacob plans to pursue a career that uses data to solve business and entrepreneurship problems. Jacob has been with GenDream for 4 years and was a part of the founding cohort.

 

VP Marketing, Josh Khurin

Josh is currently a first year at UC Berkeley studying Business Administration and minoring in Data Science. Further, Josh is the CEO of a tutoring company devoted to helping students love to learn and perform at their maximum potential. He is soon going to be a part of his university’s student body government finance team. Finally, Josh joined Gen Dream during his junior year of high school and is reconnecting with Gen Dream with a devotion to growing the community.

VP External Relations, Emma zhu

Cheng Rui (Emma) Zhu is a senior attending the Tsinghua International School in Beijing, China. She has been with GenDream for three sessions. As a community leader, she founded Culture+, a non-profit organization that seeks to address the prominence of language attrition amongst Chinese-American youth. Emma has also worked with several historical societies to preserve, document, and present Chinese and ethnic history to the public. In the future, she hopes to continue to make AAPI history more accessible and is also interested in public policy, hoping to improve U.S.-China relations as a career goal.
