Ada 于艾得
…from Boxford, Massachusetts. Ada loves photography and playing the flute and piano, as well as interacting with her community through volunteering at the local hospital and council of aging. At school, she avidly participates and competes in the science team and plays in both the jazz and concert bands.
Yiling Fang
方一琳
…from Shanghai China. Yilin loves music and outdoor sports. She often goes to art museums and is interested in history of art. She has a passion for art education. Yilin also engages in the production of microfilms.
Jack McDonnell 麦家可
…from Mill Valley, California. Jack loves baseball, sailing, guitar, and backpacking. Jack has been a sailing instructor for three years. He loves caring for his three younger siblings and is passionate about access to green space.
Haoran Wang
王浩然
…from Shanghai, China. Haoran loves fencing, musicals, and playing on his varsity basketball team. He has established a unified basketball studio to help children with intellectual disabilities. He aspires to alleviate education inequality through entrepreneurship.
Jacob Yang
…from San Diego, California. Jacob has been playing soccer for over ten years. Jacob also competes in speech and debate and is a speech coach for local middle school students. He wants to continue exploring entrepreneurship and loves biology
Joshua Kao 高天宇
…from San Francisco, California. Joshua loves basketball, running, and bike riding. He leads his school’s Asian Students Club. His club is dedicated to Asian cultural appreciation and serving the local community. He is fascinated with global politics and current events, and plans on becoming a more responsible global citizen.
Tony Yuan
…from Canada. Tony loves to swim, play card games, cook, read, and listen to music. In his free time, he likes to play the GuZheng (a traditional Chinese instrument), and take pictures of landscapes from his local community. He is very interested in politics and the economy.
Lynus Fu
…from Henderson, Nevada. Lynus is an Eagle Scout and loves golf. He completed his Eagle Scout project during the 2017-2018 school year, leading a team of 5th-8th grade students to build a habitat for tortoises - an endangered species.
Ben
…from San Diego, California. Ben cofounded a community nonprofit program with friends called San Diego Sports for All (SDSFA) to provide access to sports participation for underprivileged kids.
